Gresham Motorsports Park today announced several 2010 schedule updates.
Leading the way is the news that the largest driver autograph session in the history of the track will be held as part of the Saturday, August 14 racing program.
Drivers in all divisions - Pro Late Model, Outlaw Late Model, Mini Stock, Renegade Street Stock and Trucks - will be on track to sign autographs from 6:30-7:15 p.m. A Gresham Motorsports Park special limited edition collectible autograph item will be presented to the first 1,000 fans attending the autograph session.
GMP also announced today that an open test will be held on Friday, August 13 for all Pro Late Models, Outlaw Late Models, Trucks, Renegade Street Stocks and Mini-Stocks competing in the Saturday, August 14 event. The pit gate will open at 4 p.m. with rotating divisions testing from 6-9 p.m.
There is no inspection fee for this test and pit passes are just $20. A two-day, weekend pit pass will also be available for $55. Sunoco 110 race fuel will be available to purchase at this test.
Additionally, the GMP Infield Concession Stand will be open that evening.
The public is welcome to view the open test free of charge from the GMP Trackside Parking Area.
Drivers in the GMP Truck, Mini Stock and Renegade Street Stock divisions are reminded that there will not be an open practice session on Friday, August 27. Those divisions will be part of the big NASCAR K&N Pro Series East event at Gresham Motorsports Park on Saturday, August 28.
Finally, the USARacing Pro Cup event scheduled at GMP for October 23 has been moved to October 9 at Greenville Pickens Speedway in Greenville, SC. The October 23 Gresham Motorsports Park race - which was also to feature Outlaw Late Models, Trucks, Mini Stocks, Renegade Street Stocks and Mini Cup action - will not be rescheduled.
