Gresham Motorsports Park will hit the airwaves today with the debut of Gresham Motorsports Park Garage Talk, a 30-minute television show.
Produced by and aired on JBTV54 in Commerce, GA, the show will be a mix of news, features and race results from Georgia's newest speedway and community event center. The show will be hosted by JBTV54's Dave Wiley.
"I am extremely pleased that JBTV54 and the Gresham Motorsports Park are teaming up for Garage Talk," stated Wiley. "To have Jackson County's only television station joining forces with the finest racing facility and event center - not only in the county - but throughout Northeast Georgia is really terrific. It just doesn't get any better than that."
Gresham Motorsports Park Garage Talk will air several times on JBTV54 leading up to each event. This week's show includes a recap of the first two GMP 2010 events and a preview of the Saturday, April 17 Pro Late Model show by Gresham Motorsports Park general manager Dan Elliott.
This week's program will also feature an interview Wiley conducted with NASCAR Sprint Cup star Sam Hornish, who recently tested at Gresham Motorsports Park. Profiles of Saturday's Year One Cruise Night and the debut of the Funopolis FanTastic Challenge round out this week's show schedule.
A Gresham Motorsports Park Garage Talk show featuring race results, upcoming facility events, features and interviews with top drivers will air after each event.
"This is a great way to bring Gresham Motorsorts Park to the local community," said Elliott. "Thanks to Dave Wiley and JBTV54, we'll be able to showcase all the events we'll be hosting in addition to our races at Gresham Motorsports Park this season. It's another step forward in making Gresham Motorsports Park the number-one community activity center in Jackson County and Northeast Georgia."
The Saturday, April 17 racing program at GMP will feature a 100-lap Pro Late Model feature with main events in the Outlaw Late Model, Renegade Street Stock, Mini Stock and Truck divisions. Also on tap will be Year One Cruise night, where some of the area's best muscle cars, hot rods and trucks will tour the GMP half-mile oval at intermission - and the Funopolis FanTastic Challenge, where fans will compete in go karts for prizes and bragging rights.
