STACEY HOLMES WINS TALLADEGA OPENING NIGHT THRILLER

Eastaboga, AL (March 14, 2010) – Stacey Holmes won an action packed Super Late Model feature event, inching out Ronnie Johnson at the line to claim checkers in the season opener event at Talladega Short Track on Sunday evening.

Three-wide racing throughout the thirty-lap feature event kept the fans on their feet.

Johnson charged hard the final couple of laps, putting his car along side Holmes, and even inching ahead going down the backstretch on the final lap, but the Holmes II Excavating racecar charged back to the outside going into turn three to reclaim the top spot and top Johnson by inches at the line to claim the victory.

Tim Busha, fast time on the night among the thirty-one entrants, would finish in the third spot with Tony Knowles in fourth. Terry Smith rounded out the top five.

Josh Adkins, just back from serving duty in Irag, won the Sportsman feature event over Bubba Lackey in second and Jonathan Chapman in third.

Justin McRee won the twenty-lap Crate Late Model feature event over Sam Hughes in the second spot and Parrish Duncan third.

Kyle Strickland won the IMCA Modified feature event over Eddie Brannon in second and Todd Watson third.

Adam Magouirk won the Thundercar feature event over Al Reynolds in second and defending track champion Mike Blakeney in third.

Andy Davis won the always exciting Street Stock feature event with Richard Morrow claiming victory in the Hot Shots.

Action continues this Saturday Night May 20th, as another exciting racing program featuring seven divisions will be in action. Gates open at 4PM with Hot Laps at 6:30PM and Racing at 7:30PM.
