CRA, Legends at Greshams Mar. 13

The 2010 season-opening racing event at Gresham Motorsports Park just got bigger with the addition of an INEX US Legend Cars International Series national points event. In all, fans will see six divisions of race vehicles at the March 13 GMP opener as The Champion Racing Association (CRA) Super Series Late Models will cap the day with a 125-lap main event. The US Legends International national points event will get underway with the INEX Pit Gate opening at 8 a.m. Rotating practice of the INEX Legend and Bandolero divisions will be held from 9-10:30 a.m. with the first race of the 2010 Gresham Motorsports Park racing season rolling off on the GMP quarter-mile oval at 11 a.m. There is no registration fee for the INEX US Legend International competitors for this event. INEX driver pit passes are $30 while INEX crew member pit passes are $20 each. For rules and more information about the INEX US Legend International Series, please log on to www.uslegendcars.com The early morning start to the 2010 GMP racing season will roll through six divisions of racing with the CRA cars putting an exclamation point of the day's events. A longtime staple of the Gresham facility when it was known as Jefco, Georgia International and Peach State Speedways, the CRA Super Series will be the fastest cars yet to test the ultra-fast GMP half-mile oval. In addition to the GMP event, the CRA Super Series will sanction up to 20events at 15different speedways in 2010. Last year, 126 different drivers competed in CRA Super Series events and a top field of cars and drivers is expected. Saturday evening's racing spectacular will also feature a GMP Outlaw Late Model faceoff while the GMP Trucks will battle door to door in a main event. The GMP Renegade Street Stocks will close out the day-long festival of speed with a fender-banging feature event.
