The first full season for the new BOYD's SPEEDWAY in Ringgold/Chattanooga is in the books. Friday night Richard and Robert Harvey shelled out over $10,000, to the Top 5 in Championship Points Fund. The tracks six (6) divisions crowned champions at the Chester Frost Park Pavillion, with friends, families and crews in attendence. The Crate and the Steel-Head Late Model classes took the lions share of the collected prize money. James Gamble of Rossville, GA and Rick Hixson of Soddy Daisy, TN pocketed $1,500. apiece for their seasons efforts. Tod Hernandez and Lee Hogan took the championship trophys and money from the A & B-Hobby divisions, while Grady Stokes and Billy Bailey won their Pony/Mini Stock and Front Wheel Deive divisional championships. The banquet served dinner to the tracks Top 5 guests prior to the doling out the awards.
