The BOYD’s SPEEDWAY in Chattanooga/Ringgold fresh off its successful Southern Regional Racing series Super Late Model event this past Friday night, has updated it’s August 2009 schedule. Due to uncontrollable circumstances events have had to be pushed back a week, in order to finish up the racing program that began August 7th. The A-Hobby, Pony and FWD divisions didn’t get to compete in their Feature races, due to the tracks time restraints (curfew 11:30PM), therefore DOUBLE PAY-OUT PURSE races will be contested this Friday night (Aug. 14th). The A-Hobby “MiD SuMMeR NiGHTS CHaMPioNSHiP” race is moved back to Aug. 21st which in turn moves the scheduled Crate Late Model $2,000. to-WIN “KING of CRATE CHALLENGE” race to Friday, Aug. 28th.
SPRINT-CAR MANIA has been set for September 4th, kicking off Labor Day Weekend and will welcome not only the United Sprint Car Series, but now will host a second series of the Open Wheel Outlaw style racecars; The Georgia Mini Sprints. On the undercard for that Friday night of racing action will be the A-Hobby, B-Hobby, Pony and FWD divisions. Many teams from around the region are expected to be in competition against with both series at BOYD’s SPEEDWAY on the same night. In 2008, 7-Time USCS National Champion “The Original Outlaw” Terry Gray from Memphis, TN, dominated the Sprint Car event.
