AMS SPECIAL EVENTS

July 11: Sports Car Club of America Time Trials
The Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) returns to Atlanta Motor Speedway to conduct time trials in the Champions and Winners Parking Lots, located outside of Atlanta Motor Speedway’s frontstretch. Founded in 1944, SCCA is a club and sanctioning body supporting road racing, rally and autocross for both amateur and professional racers. July 24 and 25: Brewery Collectibles Show (Infield Media Center)
The Atlantic Chapter of the Brewery Collectibles Club of America hosts a two-day show open to the public. The show will feature everything from vintage signs to collectible beer cans to openers and advertising items. Collectors and enthusiasts from around the region will fill the infield Media Center with collectible items for sale or trade. There will also be dealers available interested in purchasing items. Bring your old brewery stuff and have it appraised at the show. Friday 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. (Friday Night Drags ticket needed after 6 p.m.). July 24 – 25: INEX Bandolero Car Nationals
Bandolero racers from across the nation will make their way to Atlanta Motor Speedway for this national competition. More information to be released soon, but go ahead and circle these dates on the calendar if you’re interested in fantastic racing on Atlanta Motor Speedway’s one-quarter mile “Thunder Ring”. August 4 – 9: 32nd Annual National Biker’s Roundup
Hosted by the Georgia Round Up Committee, the 32nd Annual National Biker’s Roundup will feature bikers and motorcycle clubs from around the nation converging on Atlanta Motor Speedway for six days of biker camaraderie. The event will feature a vendor midway, musical entertainment, showcase displays, drag racing and more. For information on camping (full hook-ups or dry camping sites), contact the Speedway ticket office at 770-946-4211. For information, contact the show coordinators at 770-834-1199. August 20 – 22: Sweet Repeats Consignment Sale (Sprint Cup Garage)
Help raise money for a local Henry County charity while saving money on some of the best bargains in town. You can find everything from baby items to books to furniture at prices that will surprise everyone. The sale will fill our 22,000 square foot NASCAR Nationwide garage inside the speedway. Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. For more information, contact Karen at 404-428-5830.

AMS RACING EVENTS

Thursday Thunder Racing Series
Running every Thursday night from June 4 until Aug. 6, tomorrow’s NASCAR stars compete weekly in Legends, Bandoleros and Thunder Roadsters. Family-oriented fun in a kid-friendly environment which includes autograph sessions, a rock climbing wall, clowns, face painters, carnival games and more. Nightly special events include church leaders competing in the Faster Pastor race, trivia games, a backwards race, mascot race, trailer race and more. Kids are admitted for just $1 while adults pay only $5.

Friday Night Drags and Show-N-Shine Car Show Regular Season
Competing nearly every Friday night in June, July, August and September, local competitors power up for weekly drag racing among several divisions. Everything from full-blown dragsters to grandma’s grocery-getter will compete in side-by-side, heads-up drag racing along the speedway’s pit road eighth-mile drag strip. The Show-N-Shine Car Show offers fans a chance to show off their rides in the comforts of the NASCAR garage. Race fan car show along pit road, race fan participation and special events make for a great evening at the speedway.
