Atlanta Motor Speedway April-May calendar
Atlanta Motor Speedway Racing Series:

April 3: Off-season Legends Race
Racing’s stars of tomorrow will compete on Atlanta Motor Speedway’s famous “Thunder Ring” quarter-mile oval in Legends, Bandolero and Thunder Roadsters. While the Atlanta Motor Speedway grandstands are not open for this event, fans can purchase infield passes at the GSP building located near the main entrance to Atlanta Motor Speedway. Infield passes are $12 for adults, $5 for ages six through 12, and children ages five and younger are admitted for free. May 15: Friday Night Drags Pre-Season Test and Tune
Local competitors power up for weekly drag racing among several divisions. Everything from full-blown dragsters to grandma’s grocery-getter will compete in side-by-side, heads-up drag racing along the speedway’s pit road eighth-mile drag strip.

May 22: Friday Night Drags and Show-N-Shine (Non-points event)
Local competitors power up for weekly drag racing among several divisions. Everything from full-blown dragsters to grandma’s grocery-getter will compete in side-by-side, heads-up drag racing along the speedway’s pit road eighth-mile drag strip. The Show-N-Shine Car Show offers fans a chance to show off their rides in the comforts of the NASCAR garage. Race fan car show along pit road, race fan participation and special events make for a great evening at the speedway.


AMS SPECIAL EVENTS:

April 17-19: RV SuperShow & Outdoor Extravaganza
Georgia’s largest showcase of RVs, motorhomes, travel trailers, pop-up campers, tents and camping accessories. Hundreds of units on display will allow enthusiasts to shop various brands and prices while comparing to get the best possible deal. Guests will also experience seminars on outdoor cooking, RV maintenance, campsite reservations and camping destinations. It is a one-stop shop to prepare for the summer camping months. Enter the show through the main tunnel along Speedway Boulevard to access the show on the speedway’s massive infield. Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. For camping available at the speedway (full hook-ups or dry camping sites), contact the speedway ticket office at 770-946-4211. May 2: Mopar Southern Classic
Hosted by the North Georgia Mopar Club, the Mopar Southern Classic has grown into the southeast’s biggest and best Mopar-only car show. A full day of activities including a car show featuring hundreds of trophies and awards, a large swap meet and cars for sale corral, kid’s activities, special seminars and everyone’s favorite Classic Cruise on the Speedway. All entrants are eligible to ride the high banks of Atlanta Motor Speedway with their car, which makes for a great photo opportunity. May 9: Safe America SafeTeen Georgia Driving Academy
More than 1,000 parents, teens and community leaders are expected to attend the fourth annual SafeTeen Georgia Driving Academy, an all-day educational event hosted by the Safe America Foundation, at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday, May 9.
