Satterfield - Snowflake 100 at Five Flags Speedway
A year ago, Taylor Satterfield finished fourth in his first Allen Turner Snowflake 100 at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola (FL). The Pro Late Model race has quickly become a very popular tune-up to the Annual Snowball Derby. Every driver who is cutting their teeth in Pro Late Models will be on hand, but perhaps no driver has more momentum than Satterfield going into the event.
“Last year, we went down to Pensacola and unloaded as one of the quicker cars,” said Satterfield. “We would love to go down there and do that again. We’ll have plenty of time to get the car right.”
Satterfield is coming off his best run of the season at the World Crown 200 at Peach State Speedway (GA). After starting in the top five, Satterfield ran up front all day. In the closing laps, he came on strong and motored his way to a second-place finish. That fact gives him a lot of confidence heading into the Snowflake.
“We have been working on this car real hard. We didn’t have a lot of money to go test like we did the year before. We have done a lot of our setup work at the track this season and it’s been tough, but now we have gotten into a rhythm and it’s really been paying off for us.”
In 2007, the Satterfield race team spent three days testing in Pensacola like most teams do prior to the Snowflake 100. They hope that they can catch the setup right away and not go through five sets of tires like they did last year. www.taylorsatterfieldracing.com
