OUTLAW SPRINT CARS & SUPER LATE MODELS DOUBLE THE ACTION AT DIXIE SPEEDWAY



WOODSTOCK, GA. (July 8, 2008) – The American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) Rebel Region invade Dixie Speedway this Saturday night, July 12 as the series makes its lone scheduled stop of the season atop the semi-banked, 3/8-mile clay oval in Woodstock, GA for the “Dixie Sprint Car Nationals” presented by KICK 101.5 FM.



Leading the way into the $2,000 to win affair is current series points leader Kenny Adams of Malabar, FL. Adams has an advantage of 60 points on the competition and has collected of four feature wins in the series first nine events of the season.



Adams, who has collected three career feature wins at Dixie Speedway, has yet to finish outside the top five in an ASCS Rebel Region main event this year.



Chasing Adams into the weekend is 19-year-old Matt Tiffany of Daytona Beach, FL, and Bryn Gohn of Malabar, FL, who is another 26 points back in third. Nineteen-year-old Samantha Taylor of Bonney Lake, WA, is just another eight points back in fourth, and Winter Park, Florida's Red Stauffer, rounds out the current top five in points.



In addition to the wild and thrilling Sprint Cars, fans will be treated to a full stock car racing program featuring 6 divisions. The 800 horse-power Super Late Model division will high-light the stock car portion of the event with a 30-lap feature event paying $1,500 to win. Other divisions in competition Saturday night include Limited Late Models, Sportsman, Super & Econo Bomber, and the wild 2-person Cruisers.



Saturday's racing action is set to go green at 7:30 p.m. Gates open at 5 PM.



Admission for adults in the grandstand is $20 with 9 – 17 years old only $6 and children 8 years old and under free. Trackside / tailgate tickets are $22 per adult and $11 per child. Pit passes are $25 per adult and $11 per child.
