Sugar Creek Raceway returns from the dead

Sugar Creek Raceway, in Blue Ridge, returns from the dead with new promoters Jason and Dana Thompson. They’ve posted on their website (in full capitals): “AS THE NEW PROMOTERS OF SUGAR CREEK RACEWAY, WE WOULD LIKE TO INVITE ALL RACERS AND FANS BACK TO THE CREEK THIS YEAR. WE CANNOT CHANGE WHAT HAS HAPPENED IN THE PAST BUT WE CAN CHANGE THE FUTURE!! “WE CARE ABOUT THE RACER AND THE FAN ALIKE, AND PLAN ON MAKING RACING MORE AFFORDABLE FOR BOTH IN THIS TROUBLED ECONOMY. “FEEL FREE TO SEND ANY QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE. WELL, GOT TO GO, THERE IS PLENTY OF WORK TO DO. THANKS YOUR NEW PROMOTERS.” The pre-season Meeting is at the racetrack Sat., Feb. 16, at 2 pm, to discuss rules, classes, and the up coming season.
